By    |   Monday, 10 January 2011 12:53 PM EST

Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, one of the strongest opponents of raising the debt ceiling above its $14.3 trillion ceiling, is afraid that the GOP’s 84 freshmen won’t adhere to his view. He predicts the Republican establishment will lure the first-timers in to boost the limit, The Hill reports.

Ron Paul, debt ceiling,"It won't take them very long to be unhappy,” Paul tells Fox Business Network. “That's why the real test is going to be those 80-some new members and how they are going to vote.
