Former presidential candidate Marco Rubio delivered a sound but strong life message to graduating high school seniors, The Miami Herald reported.

"You are going to fail. That's going to happen," the Herald quoted Rubio on Monday at a Latin charter school. "Failure in many ways is a benefit, because it teaches you in ways success never can."

Rubio was the keynote speaker at the commencement for the Class of 2016 at the Latin Builders Association Academy.

"I'm incredibly excited to see what you guys are going to be doing in four or six or seven years," the Herald quoted Rubio as saying. "Maybe even running for president — 'cause I lost to a developer so you can too!"

The speaking engagement comes a week after Rubio hired Washington, D.C. attorney Robert Barnett to field offers and opportunities on Rubio's behalf.
