One poll after another lately has been showing the public’s dissatisfaction with President Barack Obama. New Jersey voters registered their complaints in a new
Rutgers University survey, which shows that that only 43 percent of them want Obama to be re-elected, down from 48 percent in February 2011.
And 47 percent of voters say Obama shouldn’t be re-elected, up from 39 percent in February, according to the Rutgers-Eagleton Poll.
“The continuing economic climate, coupled with voter frustration at Washington, has created feelings of discontent that are clearly hurting the president’s chances for re-election,” said David Redlawsk, director of the poll “The dramatic decline in support for Obama comes mostly from independents.”
Indeed only 33 percent of independents think Obama deserves a second term, while 47 percent say he doesn’t.
