Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg appeared to weigh in on Donald Trump's presidential election, donning her "dissent collar" with her judicial robe Wednesday, The Hill reported.

Ginsburg first showed off the court bling during a 2014 interview with Yahoo News' Katie Couric, explaining it "looks fitting for dissents."

But the day after Trump's election, there were no opinions read, The Hill pointed out.

The liberal justice was sharply critical of Trump in interviews last summer with The New York Times and the Associated Press.

"I can't imagine what this place would be — I can't imagine what the country would be — with Donald Trump as our president," she told The Times. "For the country, it could be four years. For the court, it could be — I don't even want to contemplate that."

In a separate sit-down with the AP, Ginsburg said of a Trump presidential election win: "I don't want to think about that possibility, but if it should be, then everything is up for grabs."

Ginsberg ultimately expressed regret for the "ill-advised" remarks during an ongoing campaign.

As president, Trump will nominate someone to fill the position held on the bench by the late conservative Justice Antonin Scalia.
