Having hit his one-week milestone, new White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci is planning to scale back his interactions with the press, Axios reports.
The report comes in the aftermath of Scaramucci's scorched-earth comments he made to The New Yorker in which he used profanity and lobbed derogatory comments toward chief of staff Reince Priebus and chief strategist Stephen Bannon.
Scaramucci will continue to do TV appearances in support of President Donald Trump's agenda, but will be more disinclined to interact with reporters one-on-one, according to Axios.
At risk for Scaramucci is not only alienating a top power broker like Bannon — in addition to rattling West Wing staffers — but also possibly upstaging the president, Axios reported.
