Global warming may actually be good for the world and help humans flourish, Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt says.
"No one disputes the climate is changing. We see that, that's constant. We obviously contribute to it," Pruitt said in an interview with KSNV News 3 in Las Vegas.
"But I think the bigger question is . . . is it an existential threat, is it something that is unsustainable, or what kind of effect or harm is this going to have? We know that humans have most flourished during times of, what, warming trends.
"I think there's assumptions made that because the climate is warming, that that necessarily is a bad thing."
Pruitt was a chief opponent of the Obama administration's climate agenda and called the "Clean Power Plan an "unlawful attempt to expand federal bureaucrats' authority over states' energy economies."
