"Radical left Democrats" in Seattle have lost their city to "domestic terrorists," President Donald Trump claimed.

In a pair of tweets Wednesday evening, Trump ripped both the left-leaning lawmakers and the "ugly anarchists" who he said have taken over the Emerald City.

"Radical Left Governor @JayInslee and the Mayor of Seattle are being taunted and played at a level that our great Country has never seen before. Take back your city NOW. If you don't do it, I will. This is not a game. These ugly Anarchists must be stooped IMMEDIATELY. MOVE FAST!" Trump wrote.

He added, "Domestic Terrorists have taken over Seattle, run by Radical Left Democrats, of course. LAW & ORDER!"

People protesting racial injustices following the recent killing of George Floyd by a white police officer have taken over a section of Seattle, according to The Seattle Times, and police are no longer in the area.

And Tuesday night, hundreds of protesters stormed Seattle City Hall and demanded that Mayor Jenny Durkan either cut funding to the city's police department or resign from her post.

Trump recently announced that the U.S. will declare Antifa, a radical group with roots that go back to the Nazi era and which is often blamed for violent protests in American cities, a domestic terror organization.
