Former Trump administration aide Sebastian Gorka said he was in talks to rejoin Breitbart News after leaving the White House on Friday.
"I will be working with Steve, with you, with the Breitbart crew," Gorka, who was a deputy assistant, told Breitbart’s Matt Boyle in an interview broadcast Saturday on the news outlet's radio show on SiriusXM.
He was referring to Steve Bannon, who was ousted last week as White House chief strategist.
Gorka's comments were reported Saturday by Fox News.
Bannon left Breitbart, where he was executive chairman, last year to join the Trump campaign. He resumed the post within hours after his departure.
Gorka, 46, who left the administration on Friday, was a national security editor at Breitbart before joining the White House.
Breitbart said in a report Friday on Gorka's resignation: "Breitbart is currently in negotiations with Dr. Gorka regarding his support for the website, as well as collaboration on a joint venture that would embody a Jacksonian national security vision."
