President Donald Trump's chief strategist Steve Bannon touted his diverse experience that led to his position in the White House on Friday, and said he is not an "angry guy."
"I have lived all over the world, worked all over the world, financed with great partners all over the world," Bannon said in an intervew with The Washington Post.
"I'm not some angry guy sitting there. I think I have a pretty good feel for the direction of Europe, Asia and the United States, almost 40 years of experience."
Bannon's resume includes several years spent in the Navy after graduating from Virginia Tech, a prosperous career as a global investor who worked with luminaries like the prince of Saudi Arabia, former chairman of Breitbart News, and recently as a campaign chairman during Trump's run for office. He was one of the first people hired by the Trump administration.
A controversial figure, Bannon claimed a hands-on approach was how he was able to get so much accomplished in his career.
"Those out of the room are out of the deal," Bannon said of his past business deals. "Once you make your way into the room, you stay."
