Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, criticized President Donald Trump's proposed travel ban to some Muslim-majority countries, saying Sunday "it's not the way to go" in the anti-terror fight.
The ban is "too broad," Collins told CBS News' "Face The Nation."
"And that is why it has been rejected by the courts," she said.
The Trump administration is now petitioning the Supreme Court to revive the ban.
"The president is right, however, that we need to do a better job of vetting individuals who are coming from war torn-countries into our nation, but I do believe that the very broad ban that he has proposed is not the right way to go," she told CBS.
