Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, was lauded on Twitter for his calm handling of hecklers who accosted him for voting to confirm Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Cruz, locked in a must-win re-election battle against Democratic opponent Beto O'Rourke, was captured on video as protesters peppered him with questions while he walked through an airport terminal.

But Cruz maintained his cool, even politely thanking one woman for expressing herself.

“You think that putting a sexual assaulter on the Court is a victory for women?” one woman is heard off camera asking.

“I believe in due process,” Cruz responds as he continues to walk through the airport.

“You believe in due process? Lots of women were up there talking about their stories…” another woman began — before getting interrupted by a more vehement protester.

“Do you believe in a man lying about his alcohol in front of the Senate and perjury? Do you believe in perjury?” the protester asked.

“Thank you for expressing your First Amendment rights,” Cruz turned and responded.

“So why do you support a man who abuses women?” she continued before breaking into a lone shouting chant of  “Shame on you Ted Cruz.”

“God bless you, ma’am,” he replied continuing his way through the terminal.

Cruz was similarly composed when hounded by protesters at a Washington, D.C. restaurant, quietly exiting the facility.

This time, however, Twitter applauded his calm demeanor, declaring him a “class act.”
