Nugent: 'You're a Racist' If You Don't Condemn All Violence

"The Fox News Specialists"

Musician Ted Nugent on Fox News on Wednesday defended President Donald Trump’s statement condemning "all violence."

"I'm going to go ahead and say the most controversial thing in the world, and if you find fault with this, you're brain-dead: All lives matter and we condemn all violence," said Nugent, who was met with strong backlash from guest hosts David Webb and Eboni Williams.

"Those are bad words? Why are those bad words? What planet are you from? We condemn all violence. That's what President Trump said. And all lives matter. If you don't agree with that, you're a racist!"

Williams, who criticized Trump for his statements after last weekend's events in Charlottesville, Virginia, where three people died and at least 34 were injured, told Nugent "not all sides" killed 32-year-old Heather Heyer.

Trump held an impromptu press conference at Trump Tower where he doubled down on his initial statement regarding the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, and blamed "many sides" for it, which started when white nationalists clashed with counter protestors. Heyer died when James Alex Fields crashed into a line of cars, pushing into pedestrians.

"In those instances of tragedy," Nugent said, "the perpetrators were specific and individual. In this there were many, there were many that fanned the flames."
