Rep. Ted Yoho, a Florida Republican, is still not sold on the American Health Care Act proposal.
"I'm still a no," the Freedom Caucus member told CNN's "New Day" program on Thursday, adding that he had not heard details of concessions that President Donald Trump had offered to the Caucus.
"We're still open for negotiations. We look forward to having more discussions today on the health care bill, and that's why I think you don't see a vote. There is still time and this is something we all want."
The AHCA now does not go far enough in getting rid of Obamacare, Yoho said. Removing "essential health benefits" from the AHCA could get him closer to a yes, he added.
Before Obamacare began in 2009, access to those benefits — for example, mental health care — were available, Yoho said. "That care is out there and there's a false narrative that if we do away with this, people are going to lose coverage.
"Nobody wants that. Nobody is working to do that. We want to make sure that there's access to coverage," he added.
