British Prime Minister Theresa May appears to have made fun of the size of President Donald Trump's hands, just one year after Sen. Marco Rubio called them "small" in a bid to insult the billionaire businessman's manhood.

The Daily Telegraph reports that during a private fundraiser on Monday, May made reference to her recent White House meeting with Trump, during which the two were photographed walking hand in hand.

May told the audience of Tories: "Thank you very much for that wonderful reception. I don't think I have received such a big hand since I walked down the colonnade at the White House."

Trump's hands have been the subject of debate over the years.

Last February, Rubio, who was battling Trump for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination, quipped, "Have you seen his hands? And you know what they say about men with small hands."

The cheeky reference to the size of Trump's genitalia was quickly denied by the future president.

"Look at those hands, are they small hands? And, he referred to my hands — 'if they're small, something else must be small.' I guarantee you there's no problem. I guarantee,"' insisted Trump, who started calling Rubio "Little Marco."

And in the 1980s, the now-defunct satirical magazine Spy referred to Trump as a "short-fingered vulgarian."
