Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., has brought in more than $2 million in the first quarter of 2018 as he prepares for his re-election campaign, The Washington Times is reporting.
As of the end of March, the Kaine campaign had more than $10 million on hand, the newspaper said.
The former candidate for vice president, who was first elected to the Senate in 2012, is gearing up for his first re-election bid. He has raised close to $16 million over the course of the 2018 election cycle, the Times said.
Kaine official kicked-off his campaign last week with a series of appearances throughout the state, The Washington Post noted.
