President Joe Biden's executive orders that will impact jobs are "probably the worst," but his immigration orders will have "an even more sweeping effect," Sen. Tom Cotton said Monday.

"At a time when 10 million Americans are still out of work or struggling to get the hours they need, Joe Biden through his legislation wants to give amnesty to 15 million illegal immigrants," the Arkansas Republican said on Fox News' "Fox and Friends." "Through that legislation of some of these orders, he wants to invite millions or more guest workers to come into the country or give people with bogus claims of asylum the opportunity to come here and work while they wait for their claim to be adjudicated if they ever show up. It's not good for American workers."

Further, many immigrants are coming with no way to screen backgrounds for either health or security reasons, said Cotton.

"Biden would rip up a bilateral agreement with Mexico, our partner to the south, that is working [in order to] give migrant workers the opportunity to come to this country and work for months, if not years," said Cotton.

Meanwhile, Biden will meet with 10 GOP lawmakers to discuss their alternate COVID-19 relief plan, but even after he has called for unity, there are still some lawmakers such as Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., calling for Democrats to push aside Republicans and get legislation passed, said Cotton.

"I commend Susan Collins and 10 Republicans who sent the president this letter and asked for this meeting," said Cotton. "Last year we passed multiple coronavirus relief bills ... that was all done on a bipartisan basis last year. There is no reason Joe Biden can't work with Republicans on bipartisan legislation if he is willing to push Bernie Sanders to the side and work with Republican senators and Republican congressmen."
