President Donald Trump took aim at The Associated Press Wednesday, accusing it of twisting what he told the news agency's reporters in an Oval Office interview.
"AP headline was very different from my quote and meaning in the story. They just can’t help themselves. FAKE NEWS!"
The original AP headline was, "Trump Tells AP he Won't Accept Blame If GOP Loses House."
Trump's salvo at AP came shortly after the hosts of Fox News Channel's "Fox & Friends" discussed the headline, calling it "misleading," Mediaite reports,
"They put these crazy headlines because they want you to click on them, they want you to read the story and you realize it's a little misleading, but they do it to make money," host Ainsley Earhardt said.
Host Brian Kilmeade responded, saying, "You wouldn't think Drudge would put that up there because it's inaccurate."
