President Donald Trump declared the Justice Department inspector general's report on fired FBI director James Comey "a total disaster for Comey."
Trump issued his comments about the report Friday morning on Twitter, insisting that Comey would "now officially go down as the worst leader, by far, in the history of the FBI."
Though IG Michael Horowitz refrained from calling Comey's handling of the Hillary Clinton private email investigation politically biased, the watchdog nonetheless slammed Comey for how he went about his business.
Horowitz called Comey's decision to not prosecute Clinton "extraordinary and insubordinate for Comey to conceal his intentions from his superiors, the Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General, for the admitted purpose of preventing them from telling him not to make the statement, and to instruct his subordinates in the FBI to do the same."
Trump quickly retweeted at least a half dozen posts about the report from the "Fox & Friends" morning show on Fox News Channel.
