President Donald Trump warned Democrats there will be no replacement for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program without funding his wall along the border of Mexico and major immigration reforms.
Earlier this year, Trump had ended the program for children brought to the U.S. illegally, The Washington Times noted. However, he gave Congress until March to give him a bill addressing the issue so those who benefit can stay in the U.S.
Democrats are said to have tried to tie DACA legislation to the GOP tax package, but were unsuccessful, according to the newspaper.
