Trump: Democrats Don't Want DACA Deal

President Donald Trump on Monday suggested that a bipartisan deal on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program won't happen because of Democratic opposition to his immigration policies.

In a pair of tweets Monday morning, Trump quoted his own words to reporters the night before at Mar-a-Lago:

Statement by me last night in Florida: "Honestly, I don't think the Democrats want to make a deal. They talk about DACA, but they don't want to help..We are ready, willing and able to make a deal but they don't want to. They don't want security at the border, they don't want.....

Earlier on Sunday, Trump tweeted:

DACA is probably dead because the Democrats don't really want it, they just want to talk and take desperately needed money away from our Military.

On Sunday, Trump also denied accusations of racism following reports that he referred to Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua and some African nations as "s***hole countries" in a bicameral meeting last week.

"I'm not a racist," he told reporters, according to Fox News. "I am the least racist person you have ever interviewed. That I can tell you."
