Trump Accuses Dems of Looking to Shut Down Government

President Donald Trump slammed Democrats on Thursday, saying they want to shut down the government over Puerto Rico and Obamacare.

The Democrats want to shut government if we don't bail out Puerto Rico and give billions to their insurance companies for OCare failure. NO!

His comments follow a Wednesday evening tweet:

Democrats are trying to bail out insurance companies from disastrous #ObamaCare, and Puerto Rico with your tax dollars. Sad!

The Hill noted Trump's tweets refer to Democrats looking to help Puerto Rico, which is trying to avoid filing for bankruptcy by restructuring its debt. And, it noted, Democratic leaders have said they would not support the government spending bill unless the administration continues paying controversial Obamacare insurer subsidies.
