President Donald Trump took to Twitter to bash the Democrats on healthcare, accusing them of pushing for a Universal care-based system.
Democrats plan to make healthcare a staple issue in November's midterms amid uncertainty of the fate of Obamacare.
Trump and Republicans plan to frame a win for the Democrats in the House or Senate would mean a push for universal healthcare, and point to Britain as Example A of a broken system.
However, Trump hasn't always been down on universal healthcare, tweeting this last May:
Australia has a single-payer system.
Further, Trump vowed "insurance for everybody" prior to taking office a year ago, a pledge he made in promising to gut Obamacare.
Trump even campaigned on a healthcare platform that provided coverage for everybody.
"I am going to take care of everybody. I don't care if it costs me votes or not. Everybody's going to be taken care of much better than they're taken care of now," Trump said on CBS "60 Minutes" in September 2015.
Back to Monday, Trump also thanked Fox News' "Fox & Friends" morning show for, ostensibly, its coverage of the administration's healthcare policies.
