President Donald Trump, making a last-minute pitch as Americans head to the polls, said he feels "very good" about his chances of winning four more years in the White House, considering the sizes of his rallies in the past few days.
"I think that translates into a lot of votes, and we're going to see very soon," Trump told Fox News' "Fox & Friends." "We are getting a very good response, we are getting a very early response."
He added that he believes his campaign is doing well with African American and Hispanic voters and that "we are doing incredible in Florida."
He also insisted that the campaign "won't play games," and he believes he has a "solid chance of winning," but at the same time, he will declare victory "when there is a victory."
Trump ended up with 306 electoral votes in the 2016 campaign and projected that his numbers will be even higher this time around because "people appreciate the job that we've done."
"We have a headwind on the stock market because of the chance that Joe Biden got in, you will have a stock market go down like you wouldn't believe," said Trump. "I see the markets projected to be up quite nicely today and it was up yesterday very nicely because people are starting to think that I'm going to win."
He added that he has seen "such love" from voters at his rallies, and there has been a "lot of progress in the last four days."
"I mean, you have 30,000 to 40,000 or more people in this, you know, big area and you feel the love," said Trump. "You know when Biden goes and he has 20 or 30 people, that's not so different from a lot of other people. If Ronald Reagan came in to do a rally because he was a popular guy, if he had 200 or 300 people, that's fine, that's like anticipated. Usually, they would go to a ballroom and do it in a ballroom. I'm having 45,000 people."
Trump also delivered a message to the nation's undecided voters, saying that under his presidency "we built the greatest economy in the world. It was horribly interrupted by something that should have never happened."
He defended his decision to shut down the economy over the coronavirus pandemic, saying millions of lives were saved as a result, but stressed that the economy will continue to grow "at a record clip."
Trump also insisted that the nation is "rounding the corner" on coronavirus.
"Some people don't like that phrase, but I use that phrase," he said. "We are coming out with vaccines, the likes of which nobody has ever seen before. ... We will, you know, tame originally, but ultimately get rid of the China plague."
