President Donald Trump took to Twitter and offered praise for Sinclair Broadcasting and criticism of other news networks.

Dozens of local TV news anchors delivered a speech warning about fake news, reading from a script provided by Sinclair Broadcast Group, the country's largest broadcaster, which owns or operates 193 TV stations, The New York Times reported Monday.

Criticism of the Sinclair speeches went viral over the weekend, CNN Money reported.

"It sickens me the way this company is encroaching upon trusted news brands in rural markets," a Sinclair investigative reporter told CNN Money on condition of anonymity.
