Trump Challenges House Dems on Impeachment: 'Do It Now'

President Donald Trump pressed House Democrats Thursday to move "fast" on impeachment, so that the Republican-led Senate can take up the issue.

"If you are going to impeach me, do it now, fast, so we can have a fair trial in the Senate, and so that our Country can get back to business," Trump said on Twitter,  less than an hour before House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was scheduled to make an announcement on the subject.

Pelosi’s office did not announce in advance whether she would be announcing as a timeline for House consideration of any articles of impeachment the Judiciary Committee might draft.
