President Donald Trump on Saturday raged against The Washington Post for a “phony” story that reports he’s irked and worried amid Democrats’ impeachment inquiry.

In a tweet, Trump lashed out at the Friday article reporting that he’s frustrated witnesses are coming forward to testify  before the House.

“The Fake Washington Post keeps doing phony stories, with zero sources, that I am concerned with the Impeachment scam,” Trump said.

“I am not because I did nothing wrong. It is the other side, including [Rep. Adam] Schiff [D-Calif.] and his made up story, that are concerned. Witch Hunt continues!”

According to the Post account, Trump and his closest advisers “now recognize that the snowballing probe poses a serious threat to the president — and that they have little power to block it.”

Earlier this week, Trump declared he wouldn’t continue to read either the Post or The New York Times; the White House later said it would cancel its subscriptions to both publications, and urged other federal agencies to do the same.

Several current and former Trump administration officials have testified before House investigators, with more depositions scheduled.
