President Donald Trump's personal lawyer has postponed the filing of a complaint against fired FBI Director James Comey with the Justice Department, according to Bloomberg.

Trump's lawyer, Marc Kasowitz, still plans to file the complaint, a source told Bloomberg.

The delay is meant as a professional courtesy to Robert Mueller, the special counsel in the Russia investigation.

The president also appears to be refraining from critiquing Mueller in public, Bloomberg reported.

The complaint is centered on Comey's statement to the Senate Intelligence Committee on June 8 that he gave one of his memos about conversations with Trump to a friend so that friend could leak it to the media.

The president's legal team announced the plan Friday to file a complaint with the Department of Justice's inspector general and the Senate Judiciary Committee.
