President Donald Trump on Thursday tweeted that he has "agreed with" the "disciplined approach" his legal team has "engaged in" to deal with special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe.
It's unclear what prompted the tweet or what - if anything - the president was responding to, but it could serve as notice that he has no intentions of firing Mueller, a potential act that has been swirling furiously since Monday's FBI raid of Trump's personal attorney, Michael Cohen.
Earlier Thursday, Trump tweeted that he would have fired Mueller in December if he wanted to, suggesting indirectly that, again, he has no intention of firing special counsel.
The president has been cajoled by some to fire Mueller and browbeaten by others - namely Democratic lawmakers - and warned by Republicans not to in the aftermath of the raid.
