President Donald Trump lashed out at "Wacky Omarosa" Manigault Newman on Monday after she revealed a secret recording she made of a conversation with him.
"Wacky Omarosa, who got fired 3 times on the Apprentice, now got fired for the last time," he wrote on Twitter. "She never made it, never will. She begged me for a job, tears in her eyes, I said OK. People in the White House hated her. She was vicious, but not smart."
In a followup tweet, Trump said after chief of staff John Kelly told him Omarosa was a "loser," he instructed Kelly to "try working it out, if possible."
Trump issued another tweet saying "sorry" for having to address the issue on Twitter.
Shortly after noon Monday, Trump stated Manigault Newman "already has a fully signed Non-Disclosure Agreement!"
By Monday afternoon, Trump had begun retweeting items denying claims in her book including one from his former laywer, Michael Cohen, and one from pollster Frank Luntz.
