President Donald Trump mocked House minority leader Nancy Pelosi at his closed-door re-election fundraiser Wednesday night at his Trump International Hotel in D.C., Politico reported.

Trump joked to the audience of 300 that Republicans need Pelosi to remain as the leader of House Democrats, repeating a refrain he has used on social media after the most recent special elections, both won by Republicans.

Republicans hammered away at Pelosi to get Karen Handel elected over Democratic upstart Jon Ossoff in the Georgia special to replace Health and Human Services head Tom Price.

Ossoff raised more than $20 million but couldn't get an apartment in Atlanta, Trump joked, a reference to the fact Ossoff didn't live in the district in which he ran, Politico reported.

Trump raised $10 million for his roughly 30-minute speech at the $35K-per ticket event.
