President Donald Trump Saturday praised his former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, and deputy campaign manager David Bossie on Twitter for their book, "Let Trump Be Trump," calling them "two great and hardworking guys."
"Congratulations to two great and hardworking guys, Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie, on the success of their just out book, "Let Trump Be Trump," Trump said in his tweet. "Finally people with real knowledge are writing about our wonderful and exciting campaign!"
Lewandowski, despite being fired from the campaign in the summer of 2016 in favor of Paul Manafort, who was only with the effort for a short time, has remained a close ally of the president's, and on Saturday praised Trump on Twitter in response.
"Thank you @realDonaldTrump for working so hard to Make America Great Again!" Lewandowski tweeted. "Our families and our country are grateful for your strong and unwavering leadership! LetTrumpBeTrump is a great book about what you did to save America."
Bossie, the president of Citizens United, also thanked Trump, saying that he and Lewandowski "couldn't be more honored" and also thanked him for "making America great again."
The book was released on Dec. 3, and contains depictions of several things that happened while Lewandowski and Bossie were on the campaign trail with Trump.
