Trump Thanks Rush for Praising His Press-Bash Briefing

By    |   Friday, 17 February 2017 08:00 AM EST

President Donald Trump on Friday morning thanked all who made "nice statements" about the wide-ranging, media-bashing press conference he gave a day earlier — and singled out conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh as "one of the greatest."

Trump made his comments on Twitter at 6:43 a.m. ET in his third post of the day on the social media site.

Limbaugh praised Trump's solo performance as "just what the doctor ordered," firing back at a press corps that is out "to destroy him."

Trump on Thursday, during a wide-ranging press conference that lasted more than an hour, declared that the "press is out of control" and, during one exchange, told a reporter that the "public doesn't believe you people anymore."
