President Donald Trump asked the audience during his Friday speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) if they would rather have tax cuts or keep their Second Amendment rights.

Trump fired up the crowd throughout the speech, including early on when he referenced the right to bear arms.

Democrats "will take away those massive tax cuts and they will take away your Second Amendment," Trump said.

"By the way, if you only had a choice of one, what would you rather have? The Second Amendment or the tax cuts? Go ahead!"

Trump then shouted each option and allowed the audience to cheer, gauging the crowd's opinion on the matter. The Second Amendment overwhelmingly garnered the most cheers.

"I'm gonna leave it at the Second Amendment, I don't want to get into that battle," Trump said. "We're gonna say you want the Second Amendment the most. But we're gonna get them all."

Debate about the Second Amendment has erupted into the stratosphere since last week's shooting massacre at a Florida high school that left 14 children and three staff members dead. There are now renewed calls to either take Americans' guns away altogether, or at the very least place restrictions on certain types of weapons and firearm accessories.
