Donald Trump says social media played a key role in his election and he will look at using it as president.
"I'm going to be very restrained, if I use it at all," he said in an interview to be broadcast on "60 Minutes" this Sunday.
Trump, whose late-night use of Twitter became legendary during his presidential bid, told CBS News' Lesley Stahl that social media is a "modern form of communication. There should be nothing we should be ashamed of. It's where it's at."
Trump, who noted he has picked up thousands of new followers on social media since he won, added that it also played an important role in his presidential victory.
"I think it helped me win all of those races where (they were) spending much more money than I spent," he said. "And I won. I think that social media has more power than the money they spent, and I think maybe to a certain extent, I proved that."
