President Donald Trump will give his first joint speech before Congress on Tuesday night, one that White House press secretary Sean Spicer said will be a "renewal of the American spirit."
Spicer Monday laid out a few bullet points that Trump will touch on when he delivers his remarks Tuesday night:
- Tax and regulatory reform.
- Making the workplace better for working parents.
- Repeal of Obamacare and replaced with a patient centered alternative.
- Making sure every child has access to a good education.
- Rebuilding of our military and fulfilling our obligation to veterans.
"You can expect to see a speech grounded firmly in solving real problems for every American," Spicer said Monday. "How can we make sure every American who needs a better job gets one. How we get children trapped in bad schools into better ones.
"The theme will be the renewal of the American spirit," Spicer said. "The president will address the Americans who have been waiting for help from their leaders for too long and let them know that help is finally on the way."
