Republican front-runner Donald Trump has spent zero money on political ads ahead of the multi-state Super Tuesday presidential nomination voting, NBC News reports.

Citing data from SMG Delta through Feb. 28, NBC News reports Florida Sen. Marco Rubio's Super PAC is advertising in eight states, spending $1.2 million, while Texas Sen. Ted Cruz's campaign has doled out $185,000 for ads in five states.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich's Super PAC is spending a thrifty $35,000 in two Super Tuesday states.

The self-financing Trump, NBC News reports, "hasn't spent a single cent" for ads in any of the 14 states that will caucus or hold primaries March 1.
