President Donald Trump sent out a series of tweets on Wednesday morning reiterating his continued insistence that there is no factual basis behind the drive to impeach him.

The tweets followed the testimony to Congress the day before from William Taylor, who as the charge d’affaires is the senior American envoy in Ukraine. Taylor said that Trump made the release of security aid to Ukraine contingent on Kiev publicly stating it would conduct politically motivated probes that he sought. CBS News reported that Democrat lawmakers emerging from the meeting called Taylor's account "damning" and "devastating."

Trump claimed in a tweet on Wednesday that "Neither [Taylor] or any other witness has provided testimony that the Ukrainians were aware that military aid was being withheld. You can't have a quid pro quo with no quo," adding that he wanted to know "where is the whistleblower" and proclaiming that "The Do Nothing Dems case is DEAD!"

The president sent out another message on Twitter, saying that "Republicans are going to fight harder than ever to win back the House because of what the Do Nothing Democrats have done to our Country!"
