Donald Trump told a crowd of supporters on Thursday that his quest for the presidency is all about winning.
"The whole thing is about winning. We can't make the changes if I don't win," Trump said at rally in California,
The Hill reports.
"If I don't win, as good as you say I have done, if I don't win, I will consider it a total and complete waste of time, energy and money," he said.
"[I am] on the verge of doing something that's really unprecedented."
Trump now has 994 delegates, compared to Ted Cruz's 566 and John Kasich's 153.
He needs 243 more delegates to clinch the nomination with 10 more state primaries to go, including California with its bonanza of 172 delegates.
