A Houston TV reporter is under fire after posting on Facebook how happy she was Donald Trump won the presidential election while she openly criticized President Obama.
Scarlett Fakhar, a reporter for Fox affiliate KRIV ended up apologizing for the post and deleting it from her Facebook page, The Dallas Morning News reported.
But her posting is being quoted throughout the web.
Following Trump’s surprise victory, she wrote: "I could barely sleep from how happy and relieved I was," the newspaper said. "I prayed for the best leader that will turn this country that has become more violent and racist under the Obama administration than ever … into the America I once knew."
The Houston Chronicle reported Fakhar later took back the post, saying she has to "profusely apologize for making public my personal views on the outcome of the election and other issues."
She said it was wholly inappropriate for a journalist to do that.
