Voters believe President Donald Trump has moved to the right since taking office, according to the website FiveThirtyEight.

Before entering the Oval Office, Trump took a combination of liberal and conservative positions, FiveThirtyEight said. It noted he was steadfastly against illegally immigration, but supported infrastructure spending. He was against gun control but supported LGBT rights.

It said his ideology had been difficult to determine.

But Trump, who is just about to complete his first full year in the White House, has pushed a policy agenda "almost entirely orthodox Republicanism" as president, the website added.

FiveThirtyEight said he has become hawkish on foreign policy, stocked the federal courts with conservative judges and pushed through a massive tax cut.

Now, a YouGov. survey found 51 percent of registered voters say he is conservative, 19 percent say he is a moderate and 5 percent say he is a liberal.

And, FivethirtyEight noted that a year ago, 42.5 percent of voters believed he was conservative.
