FBI special counsel Robert Mueller's Russian probe investigators have interviewed White House senior policy adviser Stephen Miller, one of President Donald Trump's inner circle CNN reported.
According to CNN, which cited unidentified sources, Miller's role in the firing of FBI Director James Comey was among topics discussed during the interview. Miller assisted President Donald Trump in writing a memo that explained why the president was booting Comey, CNN reported; that memo was later scrapped.
Mueller's team of investigators is also interested in those who attended March 2016 meeting at which foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos said he could arrange a meeting between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin — and Miller was at that meeting, one source told CNN.
Papadopoulos has been charged with lying to the FBI about Russian contacts he had during the campaign.
