Republican sources in Arizona universally agree Gov. Doug Ducey will appoint a successor to the late Sen. John McCain next week — perhaps as early as Monday.
But just who will fill the seat of the six-term Republican senator until 2020 (when a special election will be held to fill the remaining two years of McCain’s term) remains a mystery.
