New Mexico Compound Story Buried by Opposition Media
In this Aug. 13, 2018, file photo defendant Siraj Ibn Wahhaj sits in court in Taos, N.M., during a detention hearing. Prosecutors on Aug. 24 charged Wahhaj, the father of a 3-year-old boy whose body was found at a ramshackle compound in northern New Mexico, and his partner Jany Leveille, the boy's stepmother, with child abuse charges. What do you think would happen if a compound was found in rural Kansas where children were being held against their will? Particularly if at least one of the children had died mysteriously and been buried secretly. And the surviving children were undergoing military-style training designed to help them carry out killing sprees in nearby Kansas government schools. Finally, the compound was founded and run by the homosexual-hating Westboro Baptist Church.

Can you say Opposition Media jihad against Christians?

First network news reader anchors would be on-site “investigating.” Childcare experts would be interviewed to explain to the audience at home the harm of "forcing religion down children’s throats." Other experts would talk about exposing vulnerable children to firearms. Neighbors would be button-holed and asked about the compound and its inhabitants.

Teachers would express their dismay about being targeted by fanatics. David Hogg would fly in and use his armed guards to help him elbow his way to the cameras so he could warn of "assault rifles" firing on full semi-automatic. The backgrounds of all the adults at the compound would be explored with a fine-tooth comb.

The hyper-leftist news poodles would then seek to connect Christianity with every nut in Kansas and the surrounding area. It would be Baptists and the execution of abortion doctors. Baptists and bombings at abortion clinics. Baptists and homosexual weddings. Baptists and "pride" cakes. You could also substitute "Christians" for Baptists, as I’m sure the Opposition Media would.

Some leftist politician would ask if churches that preach “hate” should benefit from non-profit status. (“Hate” in this instance being Bible instruction that has been accepted by Christians for thousands of years.) Before long a "reporter" would use the "N" word (Nazi) in one of his stories or at the very least “white supremacist.”

Conservatives would instantly be accused of aiding this type of behavior and the left would demand what people who had nothing to do with the compound will do in the future to prevent a reoccurrence.

Now guess what happened when New Mexico authorities raided a compound run by a man described by law enforcement as an Islamic “extremist” who kept children in disgusting conditions, trained them to conduct school shootings and buried one of them on the property without notifying authorities.

Nothing, compared to what would have happened if Westboro operated the compound.

The word “Islam” was almost nowhere to be found in coverage and there was zero mention of jihad or terror training; even in the CBS coverage that broke with the pack and mentioned the “I” word. No New York hairdos bought tickets to New Mexico. No imams were put on the spot. No calls for practitioners of Islam to “reform” their beliefs. And no wall-to-wall coverage. Mostly radio silence.

It’s just another lesson for those who will learn. The Opposition Media or Mainstream Media richly deserves the contempt in which much of America holds it. Like the old football players who played both ways, the MSM is a two-way threat: If they aren’t distorting the news they are burying the news.
