Remembering D-Day
On June 6, 1944, Allied troops stormed the beach at Normandy, beginning a push into Northern Europe and signaling the eventual demise of the Third Reich. That day, which we now call D-Day, was a pivotal turning point in the fight against fascism. In commemoration of the bravery shown on that summer morning, we take a look at the past and present of the heroes who fought for freedom.
