Who says Bacon isn't good for you? Not
Pearl Cantrell, a 105-year-old Texas woman who says she eats the cured meat on a daily basis.
"I love bacon, I could eat it for every meal -- and I do!" Cantrell told NBC affiliate KRBC.
"I want other people to eat bacon, I tell them to. My kids all eat it," added the feisty bacon-loving granny who attributed her longevity at least in part to her obsession with bacon. "I don’t feel as old as I am, that’s all I can say."

After learning about Cantrell's devotion to bacon, Oscar Mayer sent its Wienermobile to visit the centenarian, giving her a joyride through her Texas town where she waived to onlookers while sitting shotgun in the massive hotdog shaped vehicle.
"We’ve seen a lot of stories on the road, but nothing quite like this one, so we’re excited to be here," an Oscar Meyer spokesperson said. "We know she’s an inspiration. Pearl is an inspiration for the community, and her friends and family. So we had to make a special stop here for her today."
Oscar Mayer also supplied her with a large case of bacon.
Cantrell did not have an easy life growing up and raising a family in Texas.
A mother of seven who outlived three of her children as well as her husband, the spirited centenarian reportedly endured decades of physical labor throughout her life.
"I would go to the field and work till dinner, then come home to fix dinner, then I would go back out to the field and work again until supper, she said.
"She's taught us to work hard and to get up every morning and think about living. She's never thought about dying," her daughter Anno said, adding that she never heard her mother ever complain.
"She might go dancing on Saturday night, but she'll be at church Sunday morning," the daughter said.
As for what was her preferred type of dance, "country dancing, waltzing, and two stepping," Cantrell said.
