The rapper came nowhere near the plate before Tuesday's game at Citi Field between the New York Mets and Pittsburgh Pirates.

Wearing a No. 50 jersey with his last name on the back (his real name is Curtis Jackson III) the southpaw airmailed an offering 10 feet up the first-base line. Mets pitcher Jon Niese stood behind Jackson, clearly amused by his lack of accuracy.

Twitter was also amused by the errant pitch.
For his part, 50 Cent seemed to take his poor showing in stride, tweeting "I'm a hustler not a ... ball player," and, "The (pitch) almost hit the camera man ... if you look close you can see them moving the plate."
50 Cent's terrible first pitch joins fellow musicians Mariah Carey and Carly Rae Jepsen on a growing list of non-sports types who shouldn't throw out first pitches.
50 Cent was born in South Jamaica, New York, and is scheduled to play a postgame concert at Citi Field on June 14. His new album "Animal Ambition" is due out June 3.
