There are over 70 million refugees in the world today. According to CARE, 24 people are forced to flee their homes every minute. This means that roughly 34,000 people a day run away from their countries in fear of their lives.

But where do they go?

Many have sought solace in neighboring countries. This is most evident among the millions who have been forced from Syria and fled to Turkey and Lebanon.

The displaced people include refugees, asylum seekers and other displaced people.

The U.S. has also become one of the prominent countries taking in refugees, many of which come from China. It ranks No. 17 in terms of accepting refugees, with 313,182 coming to America in 2018. The refugee population in the U.S. has grown 18.8% from 2013-2018.
