'Almost Human' Canceled by Fox After One Season; Fans Disappointed

Fox has canceled its new science fiction show “Almost Human” after just one season.

The show starred Karl Urban and Michael Ealy as a human detective and his android partner solving crimes in the year 2048. Produced by Warner Bros TV, “Almost Human” earned a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic for its season finale in March.

“Almost Human” had a strong beginning, with 9.2 million viewers and a 3.1 rating, but ratings dropped, and the show ended with 5.63 million viewers.

It was canceled on the same day that executive producer J.J. Abrams announced the cast for "Star Wars: Episode VII."

Frustrated fans expressed their disappointment on Twitter.
