Amazon’s new Echo Look, available by invitation only for $200, can take full length photos and works with an app that will help people create outfits and see their styles in a 360-degree view.
The Echo Look doesn’t just have a built-in camera, it also can blur the background to make clothing choices stand out more, according to Time.
The device uses machine learning and expert input to give opinions about style choices using a feature called Style Check. It can even take video of your outfit for a 360-degree panoramic view.
The app will rate your overall fashion look taking into account factors such as fit, color, styling, and trends, and compare two outfits to see which one is better. Users can simply say, “Alexa, take a photo (or video),” and it will automatically do so.
The Echo Look also does everything the Echo or Dot does, like find weather, news, movie listings, and other information, as well as use the existing Alexa app.
According to The Verge, Amazon's Echo Look was originally reported to be a security camera, but that is not how it is now being marketed.
Some Twitter users were a little worried about Alexa catching people undressing.
