The Discovery Channel's "Amish Mafia" is taking on the feel of a low-budget Michael Bay movie, with two explosions, a buggy chase, and sex – and more talk about sex – thrown in Tuesday's episode.
In its own unique way, the third episode of "Amish Mafia's" new season "outdid itself,"
wrote Julia Hatmaker of the Patriot-News. Hatmaker live tweets during episodes, which airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m.
The episode showed the simplicity of Amish policing. Jolin discovered that there is a crystal meth problem in his neck of the woods, a graduation from marijuana, which is referred to as "green corn." Jolin blew up the meth lab with a gunshot to an adjacent propane tank.

Caleb traveled to Indiana as added muscle to put a moonshiner out of business and help Levi's friend, Flip, take over the Amish party scene there. Caleb brings plastic bags filled with cow farts (no additional explanation needed), placed them in the moonshiner's shed and set it a fire for the second explosion.
There is a promise of at least one more explosion to come on the show, which drew the concern of law enforcement officials in East Drumore Township, Pa.,
Lancaster Online reported Monday.
East Drumore Township zoning officer Richard Ryan told Lancaster Online that he had received complaints from residents who have seen an "Amish Mafia" clip on the Internet that shows an Amish carriage being blowing up.
Lancaster Online reported that no one mentioned where the explosion took place but Ryan said he believed the show's film crew had a permit from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms to conduct the explosion on a public roadway.
In Tuesday's episode, Levi proposed, sort of, to Esther, which led Esther to have a talk with Mean Mary about what she had to do to prepare, reported the Patriot-News. Mean Mary told her the preparation involved "bundling," where the couple sleeps together but do not touch, among other things.
Levi, though, ran into a roadblock when an Amish bishop, Zeugnis, rejected his offer to marry Esther, leaving Levi angry. Stay tuned.
